Description
Turkish hazelnuts account for 75-80 percent of the world’s hazelnut production, with all of them coming from Turkey’s Black Sea coasts. It begins in the western Black Sea at Zonguldak and extends eastward as a green strip between the sea and the mountains almost to the Georgian border. 4.000.000 people are directly or indirectly linked to hazelnut, which originates from an area of 550-600 thousand hectares in Turkey, increasing the socioeconomic significance of the hazelnut and thus the importance of responsibly sourcing.

What makes Turkish hazelnuts so special?
Turkish hazelnuts deserve to be recognized in the world of hazelnuts. The Giresun hazelnut is the most valuable of the varieties. It is primarily produced in the mountains of the Black Sea using traditional methods, and it has a peelability that is 90% similar to the well-known Italian variety TGT (Tonda Gentile Trilobata of Piedmont). It has a delightful taste, a high oil content, and is delicate. Levant and Akcakoca are two other well-known varieties. Levant Quality has less oil than Giresun but more than Akçakoca Quality. Less oily than others, Akçakoca quality is ideal for the confectionery industry.
We are proud to offer the best of the previously stated varieties from Turkish family businesses. Our selection of hazelnut types and kernel sizes allows for creations in confectionery, baking, ice cream, and other applications. Natural, roasted, blanched, diced, and paste ingredients are always traceable, and some are certified organic. Maintaining strict safety and quality standards results in the best flavor, texture, and aroma.
